A case of cetuximab-induced radiation recall skin dermatitis and review of the literature

Radiation recall presents as an acute inflammatory reaction triggered by systemic therapy, usually chemotherapy, and is typically limited to area that was previously irradiated. reactions are generally self-limiting most commonly occur in the skin. Many agents have been described elicit a radiation reaction, but exact pathogenesis largely unknown. Here, we describe first reported case of dermatitis following cetuximab. While cetuximab associated with other skin reactions, oncologists should not exclude potential complication infusion patients prior radiation, special attention be paid pattern changes both terms location chronology.
